Shaw In, Petri Out As Eagles Announce Saturday's Roster

Luke Hume will return for the Eagles.
Eagles coach Mike Tolkin has only made a few changes to his roster ahead of Saturday's match against Canada in Toronto. The biggest of those changes is Robbie Shaw coming in for Mike Petri at scrumhalf. Petri didn't have a good match against Canada, in particular when it came to his box kicks. Shaw and Petri have rotated most of the summer so the move doesn't come as a huge surprise.

The only other changes to the team come in the backs where an MCL sprain to Seamus Kelly meant that someone was going to have to take his place. Chris Wyles will now slot in at outside center with Blaine Scully moving to fullback. Luke Hume has returned to full health and will plan on the wing. The only other change to the team comes on the bench with Derek Asbun earning a spot. As we mentioned earlier, Samu Manoa is unavailable for the match.

By are large there weren't expected to be a lot of changes to the roster despite last week's heavy defeat. These are the guys that have been the backbone of the team for the last year and this is their last opportunity to earn a positive result. For many players, this could be their Eagle career.

The match starts at 4:00 p.m. et/1:00 p.m. pt. The U.S. must win by at least 18 points to win the series.

Forwards: Shawn Pittman, Chris Biller, Eric Fry, Lou Stanfill, Brian Doyle, Scott LaValla, Peter Dahl, Todd Clever

Backs: Robbie Shaw, Toby L'Estrange, Luke Hume, Andrew Suniula, Chris Wyles, Taku Ngwenya, Blaine Scully

Bench: Zach Fenoglio, Titi Lamositele, Phil Thiel, Cam Dolan, Derek Asbun, Mike Petri, Folau Niua, Roland Suniula
