Former NFL Running Back Latest Crossover

The Frisco Griffins have announced that they have brought former Philadelphia Eagles and Houston Texans running back Ryan Moats into the club. According to the Griffins (cheers to Grant Cole for being the first to publish the news), Moats had been introduced to rugby while attending high school in Dallas and was subsequently encouraged to try the sport by Eagles teammate Sav Rocca, who originally hails from Australia. In his years in the NFL moats carried the ball 204 times for a total of 831 yards. He attended school at Louisiana Tech and was a third round pick of the Eagles. Moats will be integrated into the Griffins team throughout the year. With no Olympic Development Academy in Texas it will be up to the Griffins and Moats to develop.

What do you think of the news? Do you see any more crossover athletes in the pipeline?

  1. Any bets if this will make either ESPN or the NFL Network?
