The Utah Collegiate Rugby Conference season is set to get underway in a few weeks time with the Cougar Invitational in Provo. According to conference commissioner Bill Ungricht the tournament will also be the qualifying tournament for nationals. Teams scheduled to attend include BYU, Colorado State, Air Force, Wyoming, Arizona State, Utah Valley University, Snow College, Montana State, Southern Utah University, and Dixie State University. More teams may join the tournament as the date gets closer.
In addition to the Cougar Invitational, tournaments will be held at Montana State (October 12th), somewhere in Southern Utah or Nevada (October 19th), and Utah State (November 2nd). The UCRC is one of the college conferences that has elected to play 7's in the fall while keeping most of their 15's play in the spring.
