Murray Mexted and the Astronauts

On Saturday, August 31, 2013, Murray Mexted, former All Blacks #8 & Captain, former SkyTV Rugby Commentator, and current facilitator at the International Rugby Academy of New Zealand (IRANZ), was in League City, TX conducting a rugby skills clinic. During some downtime, the clinic's host, the Bay Area Rugby Club (BARC), arranged for Murray to tour NASA's Johnson Space Center. While on tour, Murray was afforded the opportunity to speak with current International Space Station astronauts Chris Cassidy and Luca Parmitano from inside Mission Control.

Italian Astronaut Luca Parmitano is such a big rugby fan that he has an Azzurri rugby jersey that is signed by the team with him on the ISS.
