Move aside Six Nations and Super Rugby, the game of the week as far as Americans are concerned this week takes place in Provo, Utah. DI-A champion BYU will host Super League champion NYAC in what is being billed as the Champion's Challenge. While neither team is identical to the ones that won their respective championships last season, they do represent some of the best rugby players in the country. Gone from BYU is Shaun Davies, but stalwarts Paul Lasike and Ryan Roundy return. Lou Stanfill has moved onto to Italy but NYAC still have Mike Petri, Toby L'Estrange, and Chris Chapman. Additionally, both teams have gone about putting together a creative schedule this Spring. BYU has played OPSB a few weeks back, losing by only three points. NYAC, who is not playing DI, beat Life in a friendly by a similarly narrow margin. BYU enters the match with more games under their belt, but NYAC has more talent on paper. All together, it makes for one of the most highly anticipated matches of the season and a much watch for U.S. fans.
