Eagles Abroad: Weekend Preview & TV


With the Six Nations taking a break this week, attention in Europe returns to club play with a full slate of action. In the Premiership, both Chris Wyles and Samu Manoa are set to start for their teams as they make a push for the playoffs. Down in the RFU Championship, Eric Fry will make his second consecutive start for London Scottish. A strong performance by Fry will go a long way to helping him earn a contract in extension. Over in Ireland, which has increasingly more Americans, play resumes after a break.

British Isles:

LV= Cup

Chris Wyles will start for the Saracens as they play Exeter on Saturday.

Samu Manoa will start at flanker for Northampton as they play Worcester on Saturday.

Paul Emerick is not in the lineup for London Wasps against the Gloucester on Sunday. Emerick is out with a long-term leg injury and has returned to the United States.

Callum Black has returned to the bench for Ulster. They play Dave Ryan, who is not in the lineup, and Zebre today.

Hanno Dirksen is out injured and not in the Osprey’s lineup as they play Connacht today.

Tommy Seymour will not be in the lineup for Glasgow as they play the Dragons today. Seymour is out with an injury.

RFU Championship

Eric Fry will start for London Scottish as they play the Cornish Pirates on Sunday.

Robbie Shaw and Richmond play Coventry on Saturday.

Will Magie and Leeds University play Northumbria on Saturday.

Jason Law was not in the lineup for Oxford as they beat the Royal Navy 21-14 last Wednesday.

Nate Brakeley was not in the lineup for Cambridge as they lost to the RAF 24-12 last Wednesday.
