For those who aren't familiar with Jim Carlberg's story, you should be. Carlberg, the founder of the Rugby America clothing line took on Ralph Lauren and won. When Ralph Lauren began their Rugby line of clothing they sued anyone in the U.S. who used the name rugby--meaning almost everyone in the industry. While companies like Old Navy gave up rather than fight, Carlberg fought back and won.
