Kearns To Lead USA Selects In Opener

Head coach Scott Lawrence has named his side to face Uruguay in their Americas Pacific Challenge opener tomorrow in Montevideo, Uruguay. Leading the team are a number of capped Eagles including Nate Brakeley, Hanco Germishuys, Brendan Daley, Alex Maughan, Dylan Audsley, and Tim Maupin. Leading the team on the weekend is captain Conor Kearns. He'll pair with Nick Boyer in the halfbacks. Mika Kruse, who was a breakout player in Major League Rugby with Glendale last year, is on the wing opposite Maupin. Anthony Salaber and Audsley will form a Cal-St. Mary's center pairing. Life's Mitch Wilson is the fullback.

In the front Chance Wenglewski and John Hayden will be the props with Maughan as the hooker. Brakeley will bring a ton of experience to the lock position where he will pair with Taylor Krumrei. The back-row looks especially strong with Psalm Wooching, Germishuys, and Daly.

The bench is similarly loaded with experience. Angus McLellan, Matt Jensen, JP Eloff, and Ryan Matyas all carry a lot of experience with them.
