Toronto Wolfpack Still In Promotion Hunt

It was close but in the end it was a job done as the Toronto Wolfpack edged Toulouse 13-12 over the weekend. With the win Toronto sit in fourth place in The Qualifiers standings. That's good enough to be in the "Million Pound" game along with the London Broncos. Toronto have six points in the standings while London only have four. There are three teams above Toronto in the standings, all with eight points. Previously unbeaten Salford lost over the weekend. If Toronto can finish in the top three they will gain automatic promotion to the Super League. A fourth or fifth place finish will have them in the "Million Pound" game. Anything in the bottom three means another year in the Championship.

The good news for Toronto is that Halifax are almost certainly relegated without a win while Widnes only have one victory. Toronto will host Widnes this weekend in their last match this year at Lamport Stadium. After that it's a road trip to play the Leeds Rhinos. Depending on how things shake out Toronto could be in a top three spot heading into the final weekend.
