Chris Baumann Not Returning To Leicester

Chris Baumann will not be back at Leicester after his contract expired with the club. The Tigers have made a number of changes in their front-row this offseason with Baumann being one of the casualties. In total Baumann made six appearances for Leicester. He made one six minute appearance in the Premiership and a twelve minutes appearance in the Champions Cup. He received the bulk of his time in the Anglo-Welsh Cup where he played four times and started twice. He also saw action in the A-League.

Prior to linking up with Leicester he played for and stood out for Wellington in the Mitre 10 Cup, played a season with the Denver Stampede in PRO Rugby, and spent  season with Randwick in the Shute Shield. At this point in his career he has a strong resume but roster spots in Europe are filling up fast. If he has to return to America he would easily find a landing spot in Major League Rugby. Maybe most importantly, his time in full-time training environment like Leicester will help him with the Eagles.
