The fifth weekend of USA Rugby League’s National Premiership was a complete try-fest throughout all five matches played. Delaware Black Foxes were the only team off this week.

First, we start in Northern Virginia as the NOVA Eagles would register their first win of the season against last season’s runner-up New York Knights, 44-28. The Knights drop to 2-2 and the Eagles move to 1-4. Moving on to Brooklyn as the number team and still undefeated Kings would run away from White Plains Wombats, 52-18. Kings are now 5-0 and the Wombats are at 2-2.

Down south, the Tampa Bay Mayhem would make a huge statement in the Southern Conference with a 46-24 win against the defending champions, Atlanta Rhinos. Mayhem move to 2-1 and the Rhinos fall to 1-2. Up north again as Philadelphia Fight, also undefeated, would stay that way with a 50-6 drubbing of rival, Boston 13s. Philadelphia moves to 4-0 and Boston falls to 0-4. Jacksonville Axemen showed that they deserve to be in the conversation for the Minor Premiership (regular season title), as they’d crush South Florida Copperheads, 90-4. Jacksonville is still undefeated with a 3-0 record, and South Florida falls to 0-3.

Brooklyn tops the table undefeated with 10 points, followed by unbeaten Philadelphia with 8 points, Jacksonville also unbeaten with 6 points and Tampa Bay with 4 points to wrap up the overall top four, bonus bye points will be awarded before playoffs.
