Who Will Start For The Eagles Against Canada?

Gary Gold makes predicting squads easy. The Eagles coach loves continuity having kept his team together for the first two weeks. Injuries are going to make that impossible this week but you can largely expect him to keep his team together.

Prop: Eric Fry and Paul Mullen

Maybe Gold will shake things up on the last week of the tour and give some players who didn't play much earlier in the month a chance. That might be a temptation how Canada are playing but this is a rivalry match and the Eagles have a lot going for them at the moment. We think that Gold takes things extremely seriously and keeps his team together. That said, we see Eric Fry and Paul Mullen starting once again. Maybe, Titi Lamositele starts but if he doesn't he'll be on the bench along with Chris Baumann.

Hooker: Joe Taufete'e

Joe Taufete'e was phenomenal last weekend against Scotland and is really coming into his own as a player. He definitely gets the start once again in our opinion. It's up in the air between Dylan Fawsitt and James Hilterbrand to come off the bench.

Lock: Samu Manoa and Nick Civetta

Samu Manoa and Nick Civetta were also fantastic next week. Greg Peterson remains the bench option.

Back-row: Ben Landry, Hanco Germishuys, Cam Dolan

This is where there will be a change. John Quill started the first two matches but he went down with a leg injury in the final minutes against Scotland. We would be very surprised if he plays. Ben Landry comes in and starts in our opinion with Vili Toluta'u on the bench.

Scrumhalf: Shaun Davies

Shaun Davies has settled in well to being the starting scrumhalf. Nate Augspurger could push him for time but he didn't have the greatest outing against Scotland.

Fly-half: AJ MacGinty

AJ MacGinty. The End.

Center: Paul Lasike and Bryce Campbell

Paul Lasike is another player that has really stepped up this summer. Given his performances it wouldn't surprise us to see him land a European contract. Bryce Campbell has also played well.

Wing: Marcel Brache and Blaine Scully

They have been outstanding.

Fullback: Will Hooley

Will Hooley is another player that has settled well into his position.

So here's what we have as our probably wrong predictions:

Forwards: Eric Fry, Joe Taufete'e, Paul Mullen, Samu Manoa, Nick Civetta, Ben Landry, Hanco Germishuys, Cam Dolan

Backs: Shaun Davies, AJ MacGinty, Marcel Brache, Paul Lasike, Bryce Campbell, Blaine Scully, Will Hooley

Bench: Dylan Fawsitt, Titi Lamositele, Chris Baumann, Greg Peterson, Vili Toluta'u, Nate Augspurger, Will Magie, Dylan Audsley
