MLR Power Rankings: Glendale Still On Top

Not a tone of change in this week's rankings.

1. Glendale Raptors (Last Ranking: 1): Both the Raptors and the Seawolves had depleted squads due to international call-ups but the Raptors seemed to manage it better as they won 33-11. That secured the top spot in the standings for the Raptors and put them in a good position heading into the playoffs. They can end with a perfect regular season record if they beat San Diego this weekend. Up next: at San Diego

2. Seattle Seawolves (LR: 2): Despite losing to the Raptors we're still keeping the Seawolves in second place. They have consistently shown they are the second best team in the competition and are on a collision course with the Raptors for the final. Up next: Regular Season Finished

3. San Diego Legion (LR: 4): So far our rankings match up with the MLR standings. At this point in the season that shouldn't be a coincidence. The Legion have done alright even with some international gone. They beat Austin and looked good doing it. After their first match against Seattle they have rebounded nicely and could make some playoff noise. Up next: Glendale

4. Utah Warriors (LR: 3): The Warriors let a big opportunity slip through their hands as they fell to NOLA. Had they been able to win that match they would have set up a playoff spot. Now the team has to beat Houston this weekend. We've said all year that as the season went along the Warriors would get better and they appear to be doing just that. Up next: Houston

5. Austin Elite (LR: 5): The Austin ended their season with a disappointing loss to San Diego. Consistency has been one of their problems this year and it caught up with them. They still hold a playoff spot but are likely going to jumped by the Warriors. Up next: Regular Season Finished

6. NOLA Gold (LR: 6): If the Gold showed the same thing they showed against Utah all season they might have been in the playoffs. Instead they find themselves eliminated and looking to make changes next year. Up next: Regular Season Finished

7. Houston SaberCats (LR: 7): The SaberCats will try to salvage something from this season but they'll have to do it against a hungry Utah team. Up next: at Utah
