Eagles To Face Maori All Blacks In Soldier Field Triple-Header

The Eagles will once again be taking on the Maori All Blacks in Chicago. This time the fixture will be paired with matches between the Women Eagles and Black Ferns and Ireland and Italy men's teams. Soldier Field will host the triple-header on November 3rd. It will be the second time that Ireland has played at Solider Field with their famous win over New Zealand roughly two years ago. During that weekend the U.S. also played the Maori All Blacks.

The match between Ireland and Italy was likely to draw a crowd anyways but with the addition of the two U.S. and New Zealand sides it should make for an electric day. The inclusion of the Eagles and Black Ferns is also a long-overdue step toward equality by placing the women on the big stage.

Tickets for the general public will go on Sale on May 21st. More information can be found on The Rugby Weekend website.

  1. Eagles will play in Soldier Field? That is all games in the same location?
So much better than last time!

  2. I love the matches on the same day, but to make the flight to Chicago, wish it was a better opponent facing Ireland. Ireland crushed Italy 56-19 and I'd expect nothing less coming up on a World Cup year.

  3. 3 games - that's are lot of drinking for people. Just having the 1 game left many drunk...
