Breaking Down The Eagles Squad By Club

As you would expect the Eagles squad is dominated by players plying their trade overseas and those playing in Major League Rugby. For the first time every single player on the Eagles team is either a full-time professional or training in a full-time environment. That is a very positive change.

Thirteen of the thirty-one players in camp play their rugby overseas. Five of them play in the Premiership while eight are on the books of one of the top three leagues in Europe. Only three are from the Southern Hemisphere.

In terms of Major League Rugby San Diego leads the way with seven players followed by Glendale with six. Every single team except for NOLA has a player on the squad. Only Utah are the other team besides Glendale and San Diego with multiple selections.
