Tiger Rugby Make Top 8 At Melrose Sevens

Tiger Rugby had mixed results at the Melrose 7s last weekend winning their first match but then losing in the quarterfinals of the knockout tournament. Still, to be invited back to the tournament--Perry Baker and a few other notable names were on Tiger Rugby's roster the last time they played--is quite an honor for the side. Tiger had a bye to the second round where they met Dundee High. They emerged victorious in that match with a 25-10 result. However, they weren't as lucky in their second match as they lost to the Edinburgh Accies 12-10 to fall out of the tournament.

The final four of the tournament wound up being the homeside Melrose against the Accies and Marr against Watsonsians. The final was Watsonians vs. Melrose with the Watsonians winning the whole thing.

With the Melrose 7s in the books it caps off a busy April for Tiger Rugby having also played in the Hong Kong 10s. That is two of the more prominent tournaments in the world in two weeks.
