Tiger Rugby Finishes Day One At Hong Kong 10s

Tiger Rugby will play for the Bowl at the Hong Kong 10s after finishing third in their pool at the end of day one. It was Tiger Rugby's first time in the tournament and with a team loaded with American talent they did well but fell short to the star-studded Tradition YCAC team as well as King's College. They did beat a team from Shanghai. All the results were close but more importantly the players were exposed to world-class players and a world-class environment.

First up on the day for the team was King's College. The team scored a penalty try while Naima Fualaau had a penalty but it wasn't enough as they lost 17-14. After that was Tradition YCAC who beat Tiger Rugby 12-0. Tradition is full of players that have turned out for Fiji or New Zealand, including Pio Tuwai. It should be no surprise they are unbeaten on the day. Last up was Devil's Own Shanghai Silver Dragons. Tiger Rugby prevailed 15-7 on a team try and efforts from Faitala Talapusi and Charlie Brennan.

Up next for the Tiger's is Sedbergh School Old Boys in the Bowl quarterfinals. If they win that match they'll play either the Irish Vikings or Hunter + Boo East Africans.
