Americans See 'A' League Action

Several Americans saw time in the Premiership 'A' League over the weekend. Playing time can be hard to come by for Americans in the Premiership given the foreign player financial penalties the RFU and the Premiership have worked out. That's why the 'A' League is crucial for development.

On Monday Andrew Durutalo came off the bench for the Worcester Cavaliers. Worcester prevailed 52-21 over the Sale Jets. Even though Joe Taufete'e is also at Worcester he's injured and didn't play. Also not playing over the weekend was Titi Lamositele. He was set to play for Saracens Storm against Gloucester United even though he came off the bench on Sunday for the Saracens first team. However, the pitch was waterlogged and the fixture was postponed. Two Americans went head to head in the 'A' League. Nick Civetta came off the bench for Newcastle as they beat Leicester 54-12. Chris Baumann also came off the bench for Leicester.

Of the active Eagles playing in the Premiership on AJ MacGinty and Titi Lamositele are getting regular playing time so as the Eagles head into their summer series having these players get playing time is only a good thing.
