U.S. Interested In Hosting Bledisloe Match

The U.S. has expressed an interesting in hosting a Bledisloe Cup match in the near future according to reports out of the Southern Hemisphere. Hosting a match would make a lot of sense in many ways. Rugby International Marketing have been trying to lure high-profile matches to the U.S. and the last two times they had the All Blacks in the States they had two sellouts. That could easily be the case once again even if the Bledisloe test doesn't have points in The Rugby Championship on the line. Both Australia and New Zealand have shown a willingness to take a test outside their respective countries with a Bledisloe match being held in Hong Kong and one upcoming in Japan.

The Bay Area has already been mooted as a possible destination for the match. The U.S. has been trying to focus on the area as a legacy of the 7s Rugby World Cup. It's long been known as a hotbed of rugby and if U.S.A. Rugby can monetize the area it will only benefit them in the long term.
