Chicago Lions Announce Stadium Plans

The Chicago Lions are hoping to build their own facility in the north of Chicago according to plans announced by the team. The Lions have kicked off fundraising for what they hope will be a world-class clubhouse, a stadium, and several practice pitches, including one that will be covered in the winter. The team is calling it the Lions for Hope Sports Complex. The name comes from a partnership with the Chicago Hope Academy.  They also plan on partnership with Hope Charter Schools.

Right now the plan calls for two lighted field with artificial turf for rugby and a number of sports. The seating at the stadium is planned for around 3,000 with a field house in the middle. It will also have multi-purpose rooms and several locker rooms. The team plans on fundraising in several parts with the complex costing a total of roughly $10 millions.
