Seattle Saracens Split Weekend Results

The Seattle Saracens returned from their holiday break with a series of matches over the weekend. In the end it was mixed results with the men's team losing and the women's team coming away with a win. The matches were held up near the Canadian border at the fields of Chuckanut Bay. The men's team lost to James Bay 25-10. It was a disappointing loss in several ways but most crucially it hurt Seattle in the standings. They had been close to James Bay and Capilano and now Seattle is trailing both.  Seattle's second side didn't have much more luck losing 23-10.

The Saracens women had a better day. They beat the Castaway Wanderers 47-19. Jennine Duncan had four tries for while Sadie Houston added a couple herself. The offensive explosion was good for the Saracens women as they head into the heart of their schedule. They sit firmly in the middle of the table but with two games in hand on the leaders.
