MLR: NOLA Gold Win, Seawolves Schedule Friendly

NOLA Gold Win Inaugural Match

The NOLA Gold had their first runout as a professional side over the weekend as they hosted the Capital Selects. NOLA showed some very positive sides as they won 68-15. The offense was clicking on all cylinders while the Capital Selects struggled. NOLA ran out to a 35-0 lead before some neat passing led to a try for the Capital Selects. In the second half the Selects would add a couple of tries but it wasn't enough to match the Gold.

Seawolves Schedule Friendly

The Seattle Seawolves are going to be getting in on the pre-season action. BCRugbyNews reports that the Seawolves will take on a Vancouver Island select side on February 11th. The match will be on the island. Seattle start training camp today and the Vancouver Island team is just one of what could be three pre-season matches. It will also be a homecoming for several Seattle players who either hail from Vancouver Island or have played for one of the clubs.
