High School All-American Thriving In Ireland

Former High School All-American Roman Salanoa is tearing it up in Ireland. The prop is currently playing with the Old Belvedere U-20s and is doing well according to reports out of Ireland. The Hawaiian native is following in the footsteps of the likes of Titi Lamositele but starring as a high school football player but choosing rugby. He's just 20 years old and has already had a chance to to play for the Leinster Development side that beat the Ireland U-20s recently.

Salanoa played for the Junior All-Americans at the Junior World Rugby Trophy in Zimbabwe in 2016. According to the reports out of Ireland he is very close to making his first team debut for Old Belvedere. If Salanoa can continue to have success then he could join the likes of Scott LaValla using his experience in Ireland to move on to bigger things.
