Sacramento, Fullerton Confirmed For ARC Tests

U.S.A. Rugby has confirmed what TIAR has previously mentioned that the remaining two home ARC matches for the Eagles will be held in California. The U.S. will take on Canada in Sacramento on February 10th at 3:00 p.m. pt and then will take on Chile on February 17th at 2 p.m. pt. The U.S. is already schedule to take on Argentina XV in Carson on February 3rd. That match will also be a double-header with the Lions and Stormers in a pre-season Super Rugby match.

Playing all of the matches in California makes sense from a logistical standpoint. The Eagles have increasingly done their training in California and being able to stay somewhat local and have more time together leads to more practices. Having to sacrifice a day to transit to another state takes valuable time away from camp. The California weather also means that the matches can be held in February and March.

Eagles ARC Schedule

February 3rd--Argentina XV (Carson)
February 10th--Canada (Sacramento)
February 17th--Chile (Fullerton)
February 24th--at Brazil
March 3rd--at Uruguay

  1. Good call on the logistics aspect (and reduced travel costs).

  2. Much better than playing on a AAA baseball diamond.
