MLR Rosters So Far

First up, this comes with a disclaimer that these lists are in no way complete. We are bound to have made mistakes. That said, this is what we can gather are the rosters so far for Major League Rugby team. There are some quirks. Even though teams have announced signing for months that doesn't necessarily mean they will be on a MLR roster. MLR contracts are kicking in soon and any contract signed before that was just to the club. That means that it is very possible that a player signed to a team in the summer might no longer be with the team. Additionally, there are players training with the teams that have not been announced. Also, just because a player is signed to a team doesn't mean they will play. From what we understand the majority of the players only get paid when they play in games. It will all be finalized as teams get closer to the season.

With that long disclaimer finished there are a few notes to pass along. By far the Houston SaberCats have made the most signings followed by the NOLA Gold and Austin. Each of those three teams has made solid progress towards their final rosters with a few more signings to come. The Glendale Raptors haven't announced any signings but they pretty much started with a complete roster. Two teams, Seattle and Utah, have made some significant signings but still haven't make the bulk that other teams have. The team easily lagging behind is San Diego. They haven't announced any signings but they've had conversations.
