Gordon Beat OMBAC To Close American Tour

OMBAC were able to kick off their season in style with a match against visiting Shute Shield side Gordon on Saturday. Unfortunately for the San Diego side they came out on the losing side of a 48-14 result. At halftime it was 24-0. Still, OMBAC were able to get several new players on to the pitch as they get ready for the start of the Pacific Rugby Premiership season next February.

Gordon also played St. Mary's on their trip to the United States but that match didn't turn out so well for the visitors. The Gaels won that match which should indicate just how strong they are going to be this year. Gordon had a match scheduled against Santa Monica but due to the fires in Los Angeles the match was called off.

Fun fact, Gordon was the home of Eagles all-time leading scorer Mike Hercus.
