Eagles Abroad: Weekend Review

Eagles Abroad is brought to you by Grubber, makers of fine sporting apparel.

Christian Ostberg's string of bad luck continued over the weekend. He made his first start and appearance of the season for Aurillac but he had to come off 12 minutes injured. It's a tough break for Ostberg who was finally looking like he was going to get some gametime. It was also a bummer because had Siaosi Mahoni and David Tameilau played there could have been three Americans in the line-up at the same time in the Aurillac-Narbonne match.  In European Champions Cup play Chris Wyles started for Saracens but the day didn't go as he and his team had hoped. Chris Baumann was an unused substitute for Leicester. In the Challenge Cup Cardiff and Sale squared off but neither AJ MacGinty nor Blaine Scully played. However, one set of Americas to see time on the pitch was Joe Taufete'e and Andrew Durutalo. Taufete'e played the first half and picked up a yellow card, Durutalo played good minutes for the team before being substituted.
