Eagles Abroad: Weekend Review

Eagles Abroad is brought to you by Grubber, makers of fine sporting apparel.

The weekend belongs to AJ MacGinty. The Eagles flyhallf had a phenomenal weekend for Sale as they beat Cardiff in the European Challenge Cup. He played the full match for Sale while kicking four penalties and a conversion. That ended up being 14 of Sale's 24 total points. He could have been matched up against Blaine Scully but the Eagles captain didn't get off the bench. Another pair of players that had a strong weekend were Joe Taufete'e and Andrew Durutalo. Both started for Worcester and Durutalo in particular had a very strong match. Other players to see time in Europe included Chris Baumann, who came off the bench for Leicester, and Same Manoa, who went the full distance for Toulon in their win. Chris Wyles was scheduled to start for Saracens on Sunday but that match ended up being postponed until Monday. Down in the British & Irish Cup several Americans saw playing time.
