Life Beats Stars In A Pair Of Matches

The Stars select program made the trip to Georgia last weekend to take on the Life men's and women's team in a pair of matches. In the end Life picked up two wins although the Stars made them work for them. In the women's match Kaitlyn Broughton had four tries for Life as they won 40-19. In the men's match it was a much more even affair throughout. The teams traded tries early with Life leading 14-10 after a dozen minutes. They would extend that lead before the Stars put in a comeback to tie the match at 24-24 into the second half. The turning point came when the Stars were shown a yellow card. Life was able to chip in a couple of tries to push the match out of reach. It would end at 50-31 for Life.

Full credit needs to go to the Stars for arranging these matches and making them work. It's a lot easier to travel with 7s teams because you get a lot of games in a short period of time. 15s takes more work for one long match.
