Selects Make Changes To Play Uruguay

The USA Selects have named their starting line-up to take on Uruguay A. It will be their second match of the Americas Pacific Challenge and it comes after their heavy loss to Samoa A last Saturday. The Selects have changed out a number of their line-up for the match, especially in the backline. There is a new scrumhalf-flyhalf combination with Holden Yungert and Mike McCarthy. They will both be familiar with each other having starred for St. Mary's. Also in the backline is JP Eloff who will start at center along with Bryce Campbell. Tim Maupin keeps his spot in the starting line-up but moves out to wing along with Josh Whippy. Mitch Wilson stays at fullback.

In the forwards Chance Wenglewski starts at prop alongside with Angus MacLellan who also started against Samoa. SFGG pairing Brendan Daly and Brendan Hardiman are the locks. Psalm Wooching will get a shot to start at flanker alongside with Ben Landry who makes the surprise move. Aladdin Schirmer is the No. 8. Peter Malcolm is the captain and hooker.

  1. Most interesting is Hanco in the reserves. Which tells me a citing commission did not view his red card as reasonable. Otherwise he likely would have had a ban for at least 1 match for striking in the face.
