Midwest: Metropolis Wins Again

Another week and another win for Metropolis. They had not difficulty handling the Milwaukee Barbarians 63-26. So far it appears that no one can stop Metropolis who now have an 8-0 record.  Scoring has been a big positive for the club this year. Wing Melvin Desouza was unstoppable scoring four straight tries in the first half. He would end up with one more.

The Chicago Lions are right there with Metropolis although their win was much closer. They beat Kansas City 27-25. The Lions went ahead 7-0 before two Kansas City penalties and a try but them in the lead. They also suffered a costly red card to their scrumhalf Casey Cummings. The match mostly remained close until the second half when the Lions went ahead 24-11. The Blues did storm back but a penalty late in the match was enough of a cushion for the Lions.

It was the biggest win over the year for the Cincinnati Wolfhounds as they beat Palmer 51-7. Palmer sit near the bottom of the table while the Wolfhound have moved into fourth place. Columbus are firmly in third place after they beat the Chicago Griffins 31-18.
