Glendale, Life Cruise In ARP; Humless Win In Utah

Glendale Trounces Old Blue

The highly anticipated match between previously unbeaten sides Old Blue and the Glendale Merlins turned out to not be as close as thought. In the end the Merlins showed exactly why they are considered the best team in the country with a big 76-35 win at home. Surely travel took something out of Old Blue but it won't take away how dominant Glendale was on the day.

After running out to a 10-0 lead Glendale conceded a rare try. The match would run away from Old Blue. Glendale pushed their lead out to 34-7 before Old Blue scored two tries to end the half to make it 34-21. In the second half Old Blue would have a couple of tries but nothing that could match the pace Glendale set.

Life Beats NYAC

Life made their first introduction to the 2017 season with a 36-31 win over NYAC. The New York side scored the first two tries of the match before Life kicked a penalty. A converted try put them on equal footing at 10-10. Life scored a try on either side of the half to go into the lead at 24-10. NYAC then responded to even it up with about a dozen minutes to go. The difference in the match came down to tries from Marcus Walsh and Jamie Berrisford were able to out do an effort from NYAC.

Humless Win In Utah

Humless have moved their record to 3-0 in the Utah Premier Division with a win over the Spartans. Humless won at the Salt Lake Regional Sports Complex 35-27. The Spartans could have possibly taken over the top spot in the standings if they had one but instead they will have to settle for the bonus point. Instead, Humless increase their lead. Jared Whippy was named Man of the Match for Humless.
