Eagles Abroad: Weekend Review

Eagles Abroad is brought to you by Grubber, makers of fine sporting apparel.

If you wanted to score a try it was a good time to be an American over the weekend. Three Americans got on the board in various competitions. Andrew Durutalo continued his big scoring surge in the RFU Championship with his fifth of the season. He was a part of an active group of Americans in that competition. Dino Waldren came off the bench for London Scottish and Ronnie McLean started once again for Richmond. Other try scorers on the weekend included Jess Wooden and Chris Wyles. Wyles started once again for Saracens. Also starting in the competition was AJ MacGinty. He played just a little over a half and kicked a conversion. Joe Taufete'e did his usual thing and came off the bench for Worcester. Down in France, not many Americans played. Taku Ngwenya was very active for Brive once again while Dave Ryan played for Agen. However, Samu Manoa didn't play for Toulon but they could have used him. None of the Americans played in the Pro D2 and none came away with a victory. Coincidence, we think not.
