Eagles Abroad: Weekend Review

Eagles Abroad is brought to you by Grubber, makers of fine sporting apparel.

Blaine Scully simply can't seem to stay healthy this year. After returning from an injury suffered at the end of last season Scully was starting to make his way back into regular playing time for Cardiff. Unfortunately he only lasted nine minutes for the Blues on Saturday before coming off injured. It's unclear if he's going to miss out on the November internationals for the Eagles. If it does it means he will not have played in June/July or November. The other bit of bad news came to Tony Lamborn. He was given a four match ban. That will keep him out of action for part of next year in New Zealand.

Outside of that it wasn't a bad weekend overall. Chris Wyles started, played the whole match, and scored a try for Saracens as they won big. Joe Taufete'e also got a start for Worcester, his first in a while in league play. No Andrew Durutalo or AJ MacGinty over the weekend. In the Pro 14 Greg Peterson came off the bench for Glasgow. In the Top 14, Samu Manoa started once again for Toulon.
