Eagles Abroad: Weekend Review

Eagles Abroad is brought to you by Grubber, makers of fine sporting apparel.

It wasn't the most eventful weekend for Americans overseas. With the European Champions Cup and European Challenge Cup taking center stage it was either an opportunity to rest for some players or an opportunity to get game time. In the Champions Cup only Chris Wyles say time among capped Eagles. He played the full 80 minutes for Saracens and scored a try as they beat the Ospreys. Callum Black did start for Ulster. In the Challenge Cup Blaine Scully started and played the whole match for Cardiff. He was it as Joe Taufete'e, who had three tries last year, didn't play for Worcester and other players rested. The same goes for French players in each competition. Only Dave Ryan saw time. In the British & Irish Cup Nick Civetta saw time for Doncater, Dino Waldren started for London Scottish, Ronnie McLean did the same for Richmond, while Robbie Shaw came off the bench for Hartpury.
