DI Midwest: Metropolis Escape, Stay Perfect

Metropolis have kept their record perfect but they had to sweat as they barely got past a Chicago Griffins team that is surging. John Luhrsen opened things up for the Griffins with a try before Vita Makasini, Melvin Desouza, and Pita Naruma had unconverted tries to put Metropolis up 15-5 at halftime. The Griffins would then score two converted tries, one by James Bache and another by Andrew Suniula to take the lead. With their backs against the wall Kavika Peniata scored with then minutes to go to give Metropolis the lead.

The Chicago Lions are still in second place. They thumped the Kansas City Blues 74-26. The Cincinnati Wolfhounds are within one point of third place after they beat the Milwaukee Barbarians comfortably 44-20. Helping them out was Columbus losing to Palmer 34-24. Palmer have been surging after a slow start. They are now up to fifth place.
