Rocky Gorge, Norfolk Stay Perfect In Mid-Atlantic

The second week of the Mid-Atlantic saw Rocky Gorge, the Norfolk Blues, and the Pittsburgh Harlequins. That moves Norfolk and Rocky Gorge as the only two unbeaten sides. The closest match of the round was the Norfolk Blues edging the Schuylkill River Exiles 29-28. Norfolk held a 22-0 lead for the first 55 minutes before the Exiles made a big comeback to get back within one when Brian Keown scored with less than ten minutes left. However, a try from Ben McDougall would put Norfolk ahead and despite a late try from Schuylkill River's Richard Casey Norfolk would hold on for the win.

In the other matches of the round Rocky Gorge got by Maryland rivals the Baltimore-Chesapeake Brumbies 24-9. The Brumbies actually held a 9-3 lead into the second half but tries from Josh Brown, Bryan Perez, and Ben Cima would seal it for Rocky Gorge. Lastly, the Pittsburgh Harlequins beat Washington Irish 30-17.
