Midwest Recap: Metropolis Stay Perfect

Metropolis have moved their record to 3-0 in the Midwest. The Minnesota club beat Palmer 20-16 on the road in Iowa. The teams traded penalties early as they were tied 6-6 at halftime. It was in the second half that Metropolis began to pull away. Pita Naruma was the first two score a try and he was soon joined by Trace Bolstad to give Metroplis a 20-6 advantage. Palmer made it close with a try from Charbel Medlej and a penalty but it wasn't enough to win.

Keeping it close to Metropolis is the Chicago Lions. They played crosstown rivals the Griffins and came away with a 33-16 win. JP Eloff led the way for the Lions while Andrew Suniula did the same for the Griffins.

In the other matches Columbus beat Cincinnati 37-12. It was the best match of the season for Columbus and the expectation is that they will continue to get better. Also, the Milwaukee Barbarians beat Kansas City 31-22. Highlights of that match can be found after the jump.
