Lamborn Concussed, Civetta Plays In 'A' League

Tony Lamborn made a quicker than expected return from a shoulder injury. It was expected that he would be out six weeks but he made his return for Hawke's Bay in their 40-27 loss to Wellington. Unfortunately for him he suffered a concussion and failed a head check. That means he'll miss Hawke's Bay's next match against Otago.

Also in mid-week action was Nick Civetta. He suited up for the Newcastle Falcons in their 'A' League fixture against Wasps. Civetta came off the bench in the match and scored a try. Newcastle have a lot of second row options and good performances in the 'A' League are a good way to break through.

Lastly, the Western Force have been denied their appeal leaving Marcel Brache without a team outside of the Perth Spirit in the NRC.
