Eagles Abroad: Weekend Review

Eagles Abroad is brought to you by Grubber, makers of fine sporting apparel.

Thretton Palamo got off to a great start for the Dragons. Despite only being with the team less than a week on loan from Bristol he found himself in the starting line-up against Ulster over the weekend. He didn't get on the scoreboard but he did play the entire match for the Dragons. It turned out he was the only American to play in the Pro14. No American suited up in the Premiership. AJ MacGinty was slated to start but he was a late scratch. Joe Taufete'e was on the bench for Worcester but he didn't get a chance to play in the match. The expectation is that more players will play in the 'A' League. The league where players did see time was the Top 14. Samu Manoa, Dave Ryan, and Taku Ngwenya all started for their respective teams. Manoa played the full 80 along with Ngwenya. Ryan went 55 minutes. Eric Fry and David Tameilau played in the Pro D2. In the RFU Championship Andrew Durutalo started and scored as Ealing continue to excel.
