Tony Lamborn Sidelined With Injury; De Haas Debuts

De Haas is on the left.

Tony Lamborn is going to miss a good chunk of the Mitre 10 season for Hawke's Bay after suffering a shoulder injury. The flanker came off in the 24th minute and could miss six weeks according to reports out of New Zealand. Hawke's Bay would go on to win the match 24-16. With the Mitre 10 Cup only ten weeks long Lamborn could miss nearly the whole season if the projections hold. The good news for Eagles fans is the Lamborn should be back and ready to go when the Eagles head to Europe in November.

Over in South Africa, Ruben de Haas made his debut for the Cheetahs U-19 team. They played the Eastern Province. De Haas joined the Cheetahs Academy this year to gain more experience in a high-level environment. The former All-American is viewed as a long-term prospect for the Eagles.

  1. He should be in 2019 WC squad. The competition ahead of him isn't Great. Augspurger is a great player, but he's a better winger than 9.
