The Rugby Championship On ESPN, Mitre 10 Cup Missing

The Rugby Championship will once again be shown on ESPN3/WatchESPN. ESPN has owned the rights to most SANZAAR products for a couple of years now but haven't always been consistent in which products they show and on what network. This year so far all indications are that The Rugby Championship will just be shown online. Fans will be able to stream the matches live or watch on-demand (which can be a good thing for those in the middle of the night) for those with a cable log in.

On the flip side, fans hoping to see the Mitre 10 Cup will be missing out as things currently stand. As Derek Sagehorn notes fans have reached out before and changed those in power at ESPN.

  1. Oh man, you guys need to put some heat on ESPN and get the Mitre10 cup games televised. Best comp in NZ by far, 7 or 8 games a week; Wed thru Sun. Emerging talent all across the board.

Oh well, I'm sure you can find some ultimate Frisbee to watch somewhere on the 'world wide leader in sports'.

  2. Ultimate frisbee is on Eleven Sports, the US home of the Toronto Wolfpack. They also show Quidditch.
