Marcel Brache Stays With Perth, Ryan & Bazadze Move

His future with the Western Force may be firmly up in the air but it appears that Marcel Brache will be getting in some rugby this fall. He's been named to the Perth Spirit squad for the upcoming National Rugby Championship season. The Force have had their Super Rugby license revoked by the Australian Rugby Union meaning that Brache would be out of a job next Super Rugby season. However, there has been some discussion about keeping the Force going with private funds or even having them merge with the Sunwolves. There has even been talk of not letting the Spirit play in the NRC but that seems unlikely.

In other Eagles overseas news Paddy Ryan won't be with Newcastle for the upcoming season. His contract ran out at the end of last year and having only played sparingly for the club in his two seasons it always seemed unlikely he was going to be back at the team. No word yet on where he lands. Newcastle will still have American Nick Civetta on their roster.

Lastly, former All-American Gagi Bazadze has moved from Montpellier to promoted Agen where he joined Dave Ryan.
