Lamborn Headlines Americans In Mitre 10 Cup

There will once again be a few Americans in the Mitre 10 Cup this year. Two players with U.S.-eligibility will join capped Eagle Tony Lamborn in the tournament. Lamborn will once again play with Hawke's Bay. He's been with the team since the 2013 season. Joining him on the team is Pasqualle Dunn. The back was previously on the books of Leicester before playing rugby league. He returned to New Zealand last year where he played with Auckland. The other American in the competition is Toni Pulu who will once again play for Counties Manukau. He's eligible to play for the U.S. through the Olympic loophole having already played for Niue on the Sevens Series once before. The odds of him going through the process to take advantage of that loophole are slim.

Other players with North American connections will also be playing in the Mitre 10 Cup. Canadian Tyler Ardron has signed up to play for the Chiefs next year and will play for Bay of Plenty in the Mitre 10 Cup. Bill Fukofuka--Southland--and Howard Sililoto--Northland--have both previously played for SFGG.
