Eagles Abroad: Weekend Review

Eagles Abroad is brought to you by Grubber, makers of fine sporting apparel.

Most Americans overseas are in still pre-season mode but we'll get to them in just a minute. There were a couple of official competitions that go underway.  In New Zealand, a couple of Americans saw action in the Mitre 10 Cup but unfortunately it didn't go well for one of them. Tony Lamborn started for Hawke's Bay but as we noted yesterday he hurt his shoulder and it's looking like he'll miss six weeks. He'll be back in time for the November internationals. Pasqualle Dunn also saw action for Hawke's Bay. Back in Europe David Tameilau started for Narbonne in the Pro D2. Also starting in the Pro D2 was Eric Fry who continues. Elsewhere teams were in pre-season where many Americans saw time for their clubs.

  2. Gannon Moore has been selected for the North Harbour development side. You may remember him from PRO Rugby, and completely destroying the club sevens scene with the Kansas City Blues. He's too damn humble, so here's me promoting him. Good on ya Gannon.
