Glendale Rebrands Non-MLR Teams As Merlins

With the Glendale Raptors set to enter Major League Rugby next year it's caused the City of Glendale to make some changes to their other teams. In order to distinguish the Raptors, and to illustrate the private investment into the Raptors, the non-Major League Rugby sides put on by Glendale will be called the Merlins. That mean's that the Glendale men's and women's DI teams, WPL team, Development teams will still be a part of the larger Raptors family just with a different name.

Already the Merlins have some strong opponents on their schedule. The WPL team has a full league schedule. The Development team already has matches scheduled against the Denver Barbarians and the Air Force Academy. The men's elite team will play the Ontario Blues, a series against Old Blue, NYAC, and Life.
