USARL Round One Recap

The first round of the 2017 USARL season is in the books and mostly the results weren't close. In the Northern Conference the White Plains Wombats, Northern Virginia Eagles, New York Knights, and the Brooklyn Kings all emerged victorious. The Tampa Mayhem and the Atlanta Rhinos won in the South. The most impressive victory was easily Northern Virginia's 96-22 win over the Delaware Black Foxes. That gives them the early lead in the table on point differential. The other surprising result of the round was the Jacksonville Axemen losing to the Atlanta Rhinos.

The headlining match in week two should be Northern Virginia hosting New York. Both teams have strong ambitions for the season and an early result could go a long way toward finishing at the top of the table at the end of the season.
