Toronto Wolfpack One Step Closer To Super 8s

The Toronto Wolfpack rolled to another win over the weekend. After a lengthy homestand the team made their way back across the Atlantic to take on the South Wales Scorpions. As they have done all season the Wolfpack blew out their opponent, this time a 66-0 victory. The Wolfpack continue to rack up the tries while keeping their opponents mostly silent. Of American interest in the match Ryan Burroughs scored twice for the club. He was the only American to play.

If results had gone their way the Wolfpack could have sealed a spot in the Super 8s. Unfortunately while they won teams in the #8 range also won. The Wolfpack have a 10 point advantage (two points for a win) over the #8 team in the competition, Hunslet, and if the Wolfpack win next week they will have clinched a spot regardless of what happens lower in the table. There are five regular season matches remaining before the Super 8s (a match against the other top 8 teams).
