Strikers Sign Local Player Jack Riley

The Houston Strikers have added another player and this time he's local. The club announced today that they have brought on prop/hooker Jack Riley from the Katy Lions. The Lions are a DII club in the Houston area. Riley joins a group of players that have so far been from overseas and young as they try to use Major League Rugby to elevate their careers. Although he's played the last few years in Houston Riley went to the Rugby School in England and played for the Rugby Lions.

“I'm looking forward to being a part of the Houston Strikers and am really excited to get the chance to work with Coach Fitzpatrick and his staff. I'm grateful to have the opportunity to be involved with this new and ambitious team and to help grow of the game of rugby in Houston," said Riley in a press release.

Strikers’ Head Coach, Justin Fitzpatrick said in the same release, “We are pleased to have Jack join the Strikers. He is a big imposing athlete and we look forward to working with him and helping him fulfill on his undoubted potential.”
