Eagles Abroad: Weekend Review

Eagles Abroad is brought to you by Grubber, makers of fine sporting apparel.

And then there was one. Only Samu Manoa's Toulon side is alive in the playoffs in Europe after last weekend wiped out most of the remaining teams with Americans on them. Manoa hasn't even been involved for Toulon over the last month since suffering his injury. Over in England, Chris Wyles scored a try but it wasn't enough to help Saracens as they showed some post-Champions Cup final sluggishness in their loss to Exeter. That ends the season for the Sarries. The season also finished for U.S.-eligible Sam Underhill and the Ospreys (he's not going to play for the Eagles) and for the Americans at Cardiff (they were playing in the Champions Cup qualifier). Still, it wasn't all bad for Americans overseas as U.S.-eligible Dave Ryan saw his side Agen promoted to the Top 14.
